Quality Pet Care
RC Kennels is a full service boarding, daycare , and grooming facility.
For over 42 years, we have been serving the pets and families of our local area. We love caring and connecting with animals and creating everlasting relationships with four legged friends, and two legged friends as well! We provide care for your fur baby as if they were our own, and ensure that they receive the highest quality care while you're away.
Daycare
We provide daycare for just $12.50 a day, and $7 for a half day (less than 4 hours.) Daycare consists of yard time, lunches, play time, and even pool time in the summer! Dogs are rotated throughout the yards consistently, and dog friendly pups get to socialize with friends.
Boarding
RC Kennels offers boarding for dogs, cats, and other household pets! Cats and household pets are $15 a day. We do not board unneutered males. Rates for dogs are based upon the weight. Boarding rates begin on "day of arrival." Like regular hotels, checkout time is noon on the day of departure. The last day of boarding is free IF PICKED UP BY NOON or if PAID GROOMING is done on your dog. Long term rates (over 30 days) are available.
1-20 lbs: $24.50
21-50 lbs: $25.50
51-80 lbs: $26.50
81-110 lbs: $27.50
111 & over: $28.50
There is a $10 holiday fee for all holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Grooming
We are always prepared to pamper your pet. You can make an appointment by calling us at 785-238-7000.
Bath + Brushes start at $40, and Haircuts start at $54. Rates may change dependent on how matted a pet is, their temperament and how many groomers work on the dog.

RC KENNELS INc. boarding contract
Boarding Contract
1. Owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding on or before the day of pick up.
2. Owner agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested, and all veterinary costs for the pet during the time said pet is in the care of the kennel.
3. Owner further agrees that the pet shall not leave the kennel until all charges are paid to the kennel.
4. By signing the contract and leaving pet with the kennel, the owner certifies to the accuracy and all information given about said pet on back of contract.
5. Kennel shall exercise reasonable care for pet delivered by owner to kennel for boarding. It is expressly agreed by owner or kennel that kennels liability shall in no event exceed the lesser of the current chattel value of a pet of the same species or the sum of $200.00 per animal boarded. Owner further agrees to be solely responsible for any and all acts or behavior of said pet during boarding.
6. Owner specifically represents that he/she is the sole owner of the pet, free of lien or encumbrances.
7. Owner represents to kennel that the pet has not been exposed to rabies, distemper, or any other contagious diseases to the best of their knowledge prior to boarding
8. All charges incurred by owner shall be payable upon pick-up of pet, or when billed by kennel at address listed on contact. The kennel shall have, and is hereby granted, a lien on the pet for any and all unpaid charges resulting from the pet boarding at the kennel. The owner hereby agrees that in the event that the boarding charges are not paid when due in accordance with this contract, the kennel may exercise its lien rights upon 10 days written notice given by kennel to the owner by certified mail to the address shown on contract. The kennel may dispose of the pet for any and all unpaid charges, at private or public sale, in the sole discretion of the kennel, and owner speficially waves all statutory and legal rights to contrary. If such sale shall not secure a price adequate to pay such costs of board or other charges delinquent, plus costs of sale, then owner shall be liable to kennel for the difference. All monies realized by kennel at such sale over or above the charges due and costs of sale, then owner shall be paid by kennel to owner.
9. If pet becomes ill or if the state of the animals health otherwise requires professional attention, the kennel, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal and the expenses there shall be paid by the owner.
10. This contract contains the entire agreement between the parties. All terms and conditions of this contract shall be binding on the heir administrators, personal representatives and assigns of the owner and the kennel.
11. Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach thereof, or as the result of any claim or controversy involving the alleged negligence by any party to this contract, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and judgement upon the award rendered by an arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The arbitrator shall, as part of his award, determine an award to the prevailing party of the costs of such arbitration and the reasonable fees of the prevailing party.
